
The artwork that developed from this point looked toward monuments: both as a distinct artistic genre, and as a visual means with which political and ideological views can be publicly expressed. A varied blend of models and references were used during the process of this work's construction; from contemporary public artworks made by artists such as Thomas Schütte - to the sculptural and visual forms used by Third Reich affiliated artists such as Arno Breker, Heinrich Berann, and Sepp Hilz.
