A small copse of trees opposite the equestrian centre is the favoured gathering spot for the stables' cats, and it is here, in the autumn of 2009, that this artwork was established and installed. Essentially the work was a wooden spiral staircase: built with the proportions of a cat in mind. Made from old goods-pallets, the staircase contained around 100 steps and reached a height of over seven vertical metres. The careful observer would also notice with this work that a small cats-toy hung at its topmost limit, dangling like an incentive, or perhaps even a provocation, just above the topmost step of the staircase.
